Sweet strawberry galettes
I can’t tell you all how excited I am by the abundance of strawberries at the moment here in Sydney. I love strawberries. What’s even better is that they actually taste like strawberries. Real strawberries. Delicate, sweet and juicy (unlike the ones you pick up in the supermarket during the off seasons). And even better still, they’re not eye wateringly expensive! What’s not to get excited about?!
Needless to say, in my state of exuberance I got carried away this week and bought way too many and now its a race against time to eat my way through them before they start to turn.
In my defence, when I bought up large, I did however have these little galettes in mind, as they caught my eye last weekend when I was getting my monthly fix of ABC Delicious magazine. And the good news is I can now freely share these with you all, as I noticed Delicious had published the recipe online this week.
It is such a simple recipe to make, so if you’re looking for ideas as to what to do with all those sweet strawberries sitting in your fridge or in the markets waiting for you to take them home, then definitely try your hand at these little treats. Strawberry galettes.
I haven’t reproduced the recipe in this post as I haven’t made any modifications to the one published by Delicious. If you’d like to try making these yourself, you can find the recipe here.
